Safety, and Peace of Mind
Hovermap’s 360 degree Virtual Ellipsoidal Shield technology provides industrial-grade, high precision collision detection and avoidance capabilities. This goes well beyond that provided by standard optical avoidance technologies found on most modern drones, and beyond the location capabilities provided by GPS (which often degrades considerably in tight urban environments). SLAM LiDAR keeps the drone safe during all phases of flight, in any environment (underground, indoor and outdoor), day or night.
Three Levels of Intelligence
There are three options available, designed to meet different scanning and data collection needs, in different and diverse environments:
Autonomy Level 0
- Provides SLAM-based mobile mapping
- Carry Hovermap or mount it to a drone or vehicle
- Use with backpack, cage or vehicle mount accessories
Autonomy Level 1
Pilot Assist Mode
Includes all AL0 features, plus:
- LiDAR-based omnidirectional collision avoidance
- Position hold and velocity control in GPS-denied environments
- Safe line-of-sight flight indoors, underground or close to structures
Autonomy Level 2
Includes all AL1 features, plus:
- Beyond line-of-sight autonomous flight available for in GPS-denied environments
- Live 3D map streamed to tablet
- Tap-to-Fly: set smart waypoints using the live map
