The Dronesurvey Drone Demo Day

Drones are now being used for all types of structural inspection in Hong Kong. Whether its drainage systems, underground facilities and utilities, or tall buildings, bridges and highways, drones are playing a key role in understanding and mapping the condition of key infrastructure.

Drone technology is also developing rapidly: the capabilities of inspection drones are improving all the time.

It can be confusing, so we’ve decided to organise the first ever Dronesurvey Drone Demo Day to showcase some of the latest developments, and give you a clear, up-close view of what’s available now, and what’s to come in the area of drone technology for structural inspection.

There’s a revolution in remote Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)… and its here in Hong Kong now! We will be showcasing the new Voliro T NDT drone system. Designed for remote NDT at height and in complex environments, the Voliro opens up new possibilities for safe, contact-based inspections, with NDT probes for metallic structures (UT and EMAT) and paint or coated surfaces (DFT).

We will also be showcasing the latest enhancements and upgrades to the Flyability Elios 3 confined space inspection drone. The Elios 3 already has an established base in Hong Kong, and is in daily use with several customers. Recent upgrades to the FlyAware 3D LiDAR mapping engine mean further enhancements for confined space mapping and localisation.
