We are honoured to be able to offer LiDAR scanning services with selected RIEGL equipment, for both UAV and terrestrial work. RIEGL is the world’s leading developer and manufacturer of high-end, pulsed time-of-flight LiDAR technology for terrestrial, mobile, airborne, and UAV scanning, with over 45 years of experience in the field.
RIEGL’s UAV-based laser scanning systems are the answer for the kinds of challenging environments found in Hong Kong. Only RIEGL scanners are able to capture highly detailed, survey grade data over difficult terrain and through dense vegetation cover. RIEGL’s scanner range includes some of the highest specification UAV-based LiDAR units on the market today.
We are able to offer a LiDAR scanning service utilising the RIEGL VUX-12023. This is a versatile laser scanner that offers a 100-degree wide field of view, and an extremely high 2.4 MHz pulse repetition rate.
The scanner also has a unique measuring beam, whereby the beam simultaneously emits in three different directions at once: strictly nadir / +10 degrees forward / -10 degrees back. This delivers data with unrivalled completeness, especially in challenging environments like the narrow canyons found in Hong Kong’s urban areas, or over steep hillsides where the scan beam is able to penetrate dense vegetation cover and produce an accurate ground profile.
The RIEGL VUX-12023 is also lightweight (2.3kg), enabling operation from the standard DJI Matrice M300/350/400 series, or via heavier lift drones like the Acecore Noa, for longer flight times.

A lightweight and versatile airborne laser scanner offering a 100 degree field of view and extremely high pulse repetition rate up to 2.4 MHz. The VUX-12023 offers unrivalled completeness in data capture, especially in challenging environments with vertical surfaces and narrow canyons.
RIEGL’s terrestrial laser scanners provide detailed and highly accurate 3D data rapidly and efficiently, ideal for many of the scanning needs found in Hong Kong. Applications can be wide ranging, including topography, as-built surveying, architecture, structural monitoring, civil engineering and city modelling.
We are able to offer a LiDAR scanning service utilising the RIEGL VZ-600i terrestrial laser scanner. This scanner offers broad capability from 0.5m right up to 1000m, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor work.
The VZ-600i offers 3D position accuracy of 3mm, less than 30 seconds of scan time for high-resolution scans, and 6mm point spacing at 10m. It is possible for us to complete more than 60 scan positions per hour, all with real-time registration.
The VZ-600i also has a unique kinematic mode, meaning it can scan on the move similar to a mobile or SLAM LiDAR system, but with much greater precision, accuracy and detail.
The scanner weighs less than 6kg, comes with an integrated RTK GNSS antenna, and has three internal cameras producing stunning colourised point clouds.
