Upgrade the GPS in your drone with our centimetre-accurate Reach M2 UAV RTK kit. The Reach M2 receives real-time corrections from the Reach RS2 using LoRa radio, and outputting precise coordinates to the autopilot. This kit can also be used in other applications, where the moving receiver needs to be compact.

Description

The Reach M2 combined with the Reach RS2+ Base station, and the Reach LoRa Radio for M2/M+

A complete precision UAV solution that will give you accurate and precise UAV mapping capabilities.

The Reach M2 is a compact and lightweight multi-band RTK module for real-time navigation and PPK mapping. The M2 tracks GPS/QZSS (L1, L2), GLONASS (L1, L2), BeiDou (B1, B2), Galileo (E1, E5) and SBAS (L1C/A) and gets fixed solution almost instantly. Reach M2 allows working over longer baselines (compared to the single-frequency Reach M+), up to 60 km in RTK and up to 100 km in PPK mode.

M2: Designed for UAV Applications

Being compact, Reach M2 can be easily integrated into almost any UAV platform. Reach M2 connects to a camera via hot shoe and records the location of each photo with the update rate up to 20 Hz. Ultimately, it produces more detailed and consistent data set for the further georeferencing at various professional mapping software.

Helical GNSS Antenna

The modern helical antenna compliments Reach M2 and operates across the same satellite constellations, so you won’t miss a satellite. Helical antennas eliminate the need for a large ground plane yet allows to achieve high positioning accuracy.

Configuration and Logs Management with ReachView

Reach M2 can be configured via ReachView app, available both for Android and iOS. The app allows to set up RTK settings, collect raw data in RINEX format, and control all the features of the device.

Use with the Reach RS2+ base station

The Reach RS2+ is a multi-band RTK GNSS receiver with centimetre precision, designed for surveying, mapping and navigation. Reach RS2+ gets fix in seconds and provides positional accuracy down to a few millimetres. The receiver tracks GPS/QZSS (L1, L2), GLONASS (L1, L2), BeiDou (B1, B2), Galileo (E1, E5) and reliably works in RTK mode on distances up to 60 km, and 100 km in PPK mode. Multi-feed antenna with multipath rejection offers robust performance even in challenging conditions.

RINEX raw data logs are compatible with OPUS, CSRS-PPP, AUSPOS, and other PPP services so you can now get centimetre-precise results in any place on Earth.

BUILT-IN 4G LTE MODEM AND UHF LORA RADIO

Reach RS2+ features a power-efficient 4G LTE modem with 3G and 2G fallback and global coverage. Corrections can be accessed or broadcasted over NTRIP independently, without relying on Internet connection on your smartphone. For remote areas, Reach RS2+ has built-in LoRa radio that has proven to be a reliable link for RTK corrections on distances up to 8 km.

DESIGNED FOR TOUGH CONDITIONS

Reach RS2+ is engineered to be waterproof and impact-resistant. The body is manufactured in a two-step injection process and is made out of shockproof polycarbonate covered in a special elastomer for extra protection. The receiver has an industry-standard 5/8’’ mounting thread.

The LiFePO4 battery is designed for 16 hours work as a 4G RTK rover on one charge regardless of weather conditions. No need to carry spare batteries. Reach RS2 can charge from a USB wall charger or a power bank over USB-C. An RS232 interface allows to you to connect Reach RS2 directly to external hardware and output positioning in NMEA.
