Road Infrastructure
Confined space inspections are a regular requirement across a range of road infrastructure, including tunnels, flyovers and bridges. For tunnels, there are a number of areas where our Elios 3 service has proven useful, particularly vertical ventilation shafts. For bridges, Elios 3 can be used to inspect expansion joint supports on the outside, and the stress tendons inside box concrete spans, such as those connecting to Tsing Yi.
The Elios 3 has also been used for inspecting key internal areas of the Tsing Ma Link and the Stonecutters bridge.
Rail Infrastructure
Elios 3 is ideal for the inspection of rail tunnels and related rail infrastructure, where access is difficult and night-time maintenance windows are short. Again, inspection of inaccessible areas like ventilation shafts and service channels benefit greatly from the 4K video, photo, and 3D mapping capabilities of the Elios 3.
Airport Infrastructure
Todays’s airports are mini cities, with many of the same infrastructure complexities. Elios 3 has been proven safe and reliable across a range of inspection scenarios at Hong Kong International Airport, and is now being deployed for the inspection of service and utility tunnels, automated people movers, terminal ceilings, and baggage handling systems.
